The Jazzy Passport’s battery is offered in two configurations; an airline-safe 10.4 capacity travel model, and a standard18 Ah Lithium-ion version. Both batteries are the same externally.
Today’s lithium technology has revolutionized batteries as lithium offers more range and power than traditional sealed lead acid (SLA) batteries. The airline-safe 10.4 Ah capacity model for instance delivers similar “oompf” as a traditional 18 Ah SLA battery. The lightweight power of lithium batteries is changing so much around us; everything from mobile phones to recreational scooters. Lithium batteries allow high output power in a small bundle, and the Jazzy Passport power chair was designed to make the most of this incredible 21st century technology.
